19 January 2011

Those of you who know Prestonfield's owner, James Thomson, will know that he has an appreciation for some of the finer things in life. so, unlikely though it sounds, he's to spend early January in a tent!

James, together with other hardy souls from the Scottish Hospitality Industry, including Gleneagles' Chef Andrew Fairlie, are climbing Kilimanjaro. Their aim is to hold the world's highest ever Burns Supper - literally taking Scottish Hospitality to new heights!

All of the hardship is in aid of a favourite cause of James' the Hospitality Industry Trust. This is the body that helps so many to achieve their full potential within the Scottish Hospitality Industry and does much to enhance its skill base too. Its bursaries often provide vital help.

Helping people to succeed in hospitality something believes in passionately. If you would like to help him and the team to do that too you can easily make a donation online.
